About this deal

As you read through this book, you’ll reflect on your own life and how you can improve it and improve yourself. This book is a beautiful introduction to the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it was perfect for me to read not long after I accepted Islam, Alhamdullilah, to learn about the Prophet (SAW). I finished the book in a day, and I’ve never completed reading an Islamic book in such a short period of time whilst enjoying it.

I saw amazing things; When Muahmmed(صلىاللهعليهوسلم)used to make Wudu (ablution before prayer), Sahaba would rush tograb the water dripping from his body. But there are also similarities and agreements both in information specific to Muhammad, [15] and concerning Muslim tradition at large.Tayseer al-Kareem al-Rahmaan fi Tafseer Kalaam al-Mannaan by Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him).

It is in that regard, that this book did a really great job and is a really good starting point for children. It’s easy to read and there appears to be emphasis on linking some of the common themes of the modern world to the sirah. His traditions survived through a number of sources, most notably Ibn Hisham and Ibn Jarir al-Tabari. However, once finishing parts 1 and 2 of this book, I think Muslims would enjoy "The Sealed Nectar" far more as they would already have a base understanding of the seerah.

would defo recommend giving this book to ur little humans to get them started on the seerah of the Prophet pbuh! These are the 2 eternal sources of guidance for men and women in their struggles to achieve perfection in their moral, spiritual and social areas of life. Seerah is a tool and methology for us to understand our beloved Prophet's (صلىاللهعليهوسلم) noble charecter.

Sirat Ibn Hisham by Ibn Hisham – This is a translation of an abridged version of one of the primary and earliest sources for the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) life. It also discusses the system of Zakat and the Law of Inheritance and their place in the Islamic System. I also feel like the footnotes were done very well and succinctly in explaining issues such as age of Ayesha, slavery and plagues (and its link to Covid). When the Moon Split by Mubarakpuri – If you wan to read seerah without delving in to too many details, then this is the book for you. As I was reading the end of the book which covers the farewell Hajj the book seemed to drift away and was covering aspects of Hajj in detail which really I would expect to read in a book of Islamic Jurisprudence not Sirah.Miah and everyone that involved in the making of this book abundantly and let this be their ongoing source of sadaqah jariah. Thinking from the perspective of a young person over the age of 10, I believe this is one of the reason why young people (and adults) aren’t able to engage with mainstream Seerah books. I think that al-Burhaaniyyah is more comprehensive than al-Rahbiyyah in some ways, and it gives more information. Because it was written as a story, it’s easier to grasp and feels the hardship and sadness that Rasullah (saw) and his companion had to undergo during the earlier stage of Islam in Makkah. For that and also the author explicitly has asked to not make PDF copies for distribution, which we as muslims should honour.

Supplementary illustrations throughout the book also allow the reader to visualise life during the early days of Islam in Mecca, when idol worship in and around the Ka’ba was rife. I remember once thinking it would be great if the Seerah series was in book form (as i prefer books) so when I found out it got published i was so excited and it truly didnt disappoint. Key events during this time include: marriage to Khadijah (ra), the first revelation from Allah (SWT), the encounter with Jibreel (as), early migration of the companions to Abyssinia, the Year of Sadness, trials at Ta’if, and al-Isra wal-Mi’raj. From fiction books like Ahmad Deen and the Curse of the Aztec Warrior and Isabella: A Girl of Muslim Spain to Islamic textbooks used at weekend schools across America, his writings have been read by thousands and thousands of young Muslims. The idea for The Simple Seerah came about when Toyris discovered his 11-year-old nephew Zakaria had a passion for reading history books.

Most seerah books are written at a very academic level, so this is a refreshing change, and one that is needed to engage younger generations. Musa ibn ʿUqba, a student of al-Zuhrī, wrote Kitāb al-Maghāzī, a notebook used to teach his students; now lost. That is why this book is the best starting point ever, not only is it entertaining and sets up characters and scenes in a similar ways to classic novels, it is also lays a great foundation in learning the seerah. The Seerah Foundation aim to educate, provide resources for children, parents and all seekers of knowledge all over the world in sha Allah. According to Wim Raven, it is often noted that a coherent image of Muhammad cannot be formed from the literature of sīra, whose authenticity and factual value have been questioned on a number of different grounds.
