If I were redesigning the book, more photos and illustrations generally, and I would have leaned in hard on the game data side of things (for example, you could put color info on each recipe about the 'Cooking skill level' required for the dish, or share details about the stats of that particular dish in-game such as nutrition qualities, etc. Your sim can upgrade the rice cooker, and “set and forget” the meals they make without worry of burning down the whole house! A lot of other reviewers were sad that this cookbook focused so heavily on Sims 4 dishes, but I personally didn't mind that as I didn't have too many recollections attached to specific dishes from Sims 1 and 2 (I never played 3). There are all sorts of great recipes for breakfast, dinner, snacks and - to my surprise - interesting cocktails.But note if you use the “Simple Living Lot Challenge” that came with Cottage Living you will be unable to fill the recipe requirement.
