I wasn't in a good reading place when I started this, having just finished finals and battling a bad head cold.

The Blue Paramount+ orders UK scripted original series, The Blue

Two young women, best friends since childhood, escape from their cares in the UK and reinvent themselves on a gorgeous yacht, All of which is spiced up by deadly violence, betrayals of trust, a covert romance and crewmates with dark pasts and deep secrets. As an author, she never gets to completely switch off as everything she does and everything that happens around her can be an inspiration for her next work. So one day they close their eyes, spin the globe and go wherever there finger lands -the Philippines. I don't expect to get any real surprises with her books - I know they will likely always be the same kind of thing, but that doesn't make them any less enjoyable to me.After the expedition began, the yacht was constantly monitored, crewmembers participating in a 24 hour rotating watch.

No Escape on Paramount+ review: this nautical drama is a

Manned by a young crew of wanderers, The Blue is exactly the escape they are looking for, and the two quickly fall under its idyllic spell. Thirdly, too much of what makes the plot work is disclosed in a confessional rush in the final chapters. Heavner isn’t exactly mollified when Tempe, aided by retired police detective Skinny Slidell and a host of experts, puts a name to the dead man. Based on Lucy Clarke’s fantastic novel The Blue, the show’s very first frame plunges viewers into an almost supernaturally eerie crime. Beautifully describing Lana’s building paranoia as she makes rash decisions, her character is well-defined and authentic.

Days spent exploring hidden beaches, basking in the sun and swimming in the ocean soon lead Lana and Kitty to become infatuated both with the boat and its crew. For a small fee each month and an agreement to follow certain rules, they join the crew to wander the world. If I had to compare it, off-the-top of my head I would say it's 'somewhat' similar to The Woman In Cabin 10 but I think The Blue- characters, plot, everything is a thousand times better. The story moves along at a moderate pace (which I quite enjoyed) allowing the reader to get emotionally invested into the characters and the outcome of the story.

Developed by New Pictures and Viacom International Studios, the series stars Abigail Lawrie and Rhianne Barreto and is directed by Hans Herbots. A mystery disclosed over two intercut timelines Now and Then where the Now is in crisis and who, if anyone, survived is unknown and you know the Then is doomed even before you have any idea of why. And when one of their new friends disappears overboard after an argument with the other crewmembers, the dark secrets that brought each of them aboard start to unravel.Describe what you might do in this situation, and if you can see reason in the rest of the crew’s ultimate decision. Maybe, but the sasquatches whom the volcano displaced contributed to the statistics, too, if only out of self-defense. Rhianne Barreto as Kitty, a British woman who leaves the country with her foster sister, Lana, who is also on the run. The work follows several friends traveling around the world on a yacht and the chilling nightmare when one of the friends goes missing at sea. The travel element is more about observing the beauty of 'exotic' places, appreciating nature and being free from the shackles of ordinary life - dull jobs and emotional baggage - than it is about immersing oneself in a different culture or actually understanding another country, making it a perfect fit for the 'beach read' genre because, despite the glamour of the characters' adventure, it's really about tourism, not engagement.
