About this deal

Indeed, on the final page the story doesn't explicitly spell out how the monster feels so children can have fun guessing and questioning what it 'feels' like to be in love!

The book also emphasizes being able to feel and honor whatever feeling comes up and tell us that it is OK to feel all of these feelings, it is okay to listen to our bodies, and it is okay to cry! Perhaps the children would like to make their own Calm Jar – they might want to decorate their own jars or bottles and decide what colour to make their water (using food dye or petals from flowers). I think it's great to teach feeling identification, but odd to tell kids how to feel about certain colors. It compares anger to a fire you might want to stomp out, sadness to a rainy day, and calm like leaves swaying in the wind.As opposed to a color your heart activity (where the feelings are separate) the Color Monster’s feelings can be mixed up. Lo recomiendo académicamente y también, cuando no se sepa explicar el peso de las emociones, lo importante del autoconocimiento y el estar cercanos con nuestro interior. The children must help the monster fill his jars by drawing people, things, or places that make them feel each of the feelings identified.

All online references have been selected on an illustrative basis for the relevant potential learning activities. The children might like to experiment with paint or water and food dye by mixing colours to see what new colours they can make. However, I wonder how useful this colour allocation is, as some children might have a favourite colour associated with a negative emotion.Telling children that blue is sadness will confuse children who experience blue as tranquility, or power, or curiosity, or any number of other emotions. The PDF is meant to be printed off by the therapist (or client if virtual) and drawn directly on in the therapy session to be used with the book. Dens are great for all sorts of things - a bit of quiet time, some imaginative play as the den becomes a magic cave or a spaceship or even just a place to snuggle up for a story! Then a little girl comes along to help the colour monster sort out his colours (emotions) so that by the end of the story they are all sorted out and jarred up.

Estamos en tiempos donde cuesta mucho explicar lo que uno siente, el hacerlo con colores es un buen método para que un niño lo pueda comprender de a poco, conocer las emociones y conocerse a el mismo. A little, highly accessible exploration into different feelings that a child can experience and associating them with colours not only teaches children that having these feelings is normal but also that (through the rather wonderful little girl) you never need to be alone when you're experiencing them. They might even want to put the different pictures into separate jars or containers, just like the Colour Monster. I try to be very transparent with what is in the free download and include a picture of both of the worksheets - again to be as transparent in what is included in this free download. A little girl takes the monster by the hand and gently helps the Color Monster untangle and separate out all of these feelings and put them into jars. While it is vital to teach children to identify their emotions, it is just as important to help them understand that it is normal to feel more than one single emotion at a time, even about the same thing/person/idea. De olika komponenterna är utklippta i olika material och färger, som ett stort kreativt pysselprojekt.
