About this deal

Interesting thought it was used on feet for mites, one of the few things that realy does what it says. Whatever the occasion, whoever you want to treat and whatever you want to say, we’re here to help you find the perfect personalised gift. I have used Thornit but still not sure how I feel about sticking powder down a dogs ear when I dont know how tried and tested it is (scientist, can't help it plus I work with mites, just not ear mites). I use thornit as a preventative, if your dog already has an ear infection, it may need treating first to clear it up as much as possible, have a smell, if there's any smell and you're not sure, get a vet to have a look at it first and don't be fobbed off with canaural liquid, if there's an underlying infection they need to take swabs and determine a course of treatment. I see you guys saying it can be used for other things though which gets me wondering; Tia is also having problems with a chronic chin infection (yep, that's on the long-ignored list too), at the moment we're not sure what's causing it - might be food sensitivities but given that Wagg is supposed to be the one food that it settles on I'd be surprised if it's that.

Any ideas of help would be much appreciated and also if you think that Thornit is okay for a lhasa apso could you please let me know where I can get it from as I dont recognise the name UK Toy. Hi Tessie's Tracey for bad waxy ears, put a couple of good pinches right in, tilt head if you can and make sure it goes right down inside the ear canal, give the ear flap a little shake to help it down, then massage the base of the ear on the side of the face, really bad ears a good pinch every day, until it starts to clear then reduce it, when the ear is back to normal 1 pinch every week to keep them clean. We take cotton pads with us :redface3: A weekly dose of Thornit helps the dryness, makes sense to keep ears dry to stop festering little infections!Pebble had an ear infection when she was a puppy (about 7 months old) she had ear drops which did eventually clear it up but it took a while. It is in fact difficult to get a powdered product to travel deep into the ear canal even if you try. LimeJellyHead I know, but her ears still get mucky while using Thornit so I was wondering if I should keep going with the Thornit and hope the muckiness clears up, pause with using Thornit and use a normal liquid ear cleaner for a few days to clean them up then go back to Thornit, or something else.

I would keep the insides and inner flaps of the ears well trimmed, so there is as much "air flow" to the ears as possible. To Use: Simply sprinkle a small amount of Thornit ear powder onto the inside of the ear surface NOTthe ear hole and massage in.Have to say we are Thornit converts and agree with Penny that wet ear solutions seemed to cause more problems for Paddy. It's my silver bullet, although weirdly let me down last summer when puss-cat had a persistent infection.
