I watched the movie twice in 2013 and I know exactly what would happen and how the story will end so before turning the first page I conditioned my mind to forget about it, to not even think about it, to give the book a clean slate that it deserved. I also appreciated the twist with her neighbour turns out she isn't actually real - she is Alex's dead wife visiting Katie in spirit form very random and I did not see that coming. Josh Duhamel as Alex Wheatley, Katie's new boyfriend and a widower who struggles to raise his two kids after the death of his wife. It was difficult for me to put down this book and it took me less time to finish it than I anticipated. A very large portion of the story is devoted to describing the day to day life of the characters who live in a small, seaside town.

Katie is reassured by the letter and decides she will do the best she can to fulfill Carly’s final wishes. As Jo herself states, she is already gone but hopes to be with her family, watching over them as they make a fresh start. She arrived in Southport with just enough money to put down a month’s rent on an old hunting cabin and not much more.

Artinian’s debut novel, Safe Haven: Rise of the RAMS, was his first offering in the series of post-apocalyptic zombies. I will most definitely be reading Nicholas Sparks books in the future, I'm so impressed with his writing. What’s fascinating about Universa’s investing style is that it seemingly mocks every other one as the above quote alludes. The film was directed by Lasse Hallström, and is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' 2010 novel of the same name. Because the Sparks family covers all operational expenses of the foundation, 100% of donations are devoted to programs.

Instead, I was crying because of the traumatic events taking place, and the horror I felt for the main character. One evening, Katie tells Alex about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband Kevin, the ways in which he controlled her, and her decision to leave him. Delivering babies, broken bones, and occasionally the normal illness like maybe, hopefully, just a simple cold. More challenging is how to do this as a commentator when the author makes plain in the opening chapter that “Talk is cheap,” and “Ideas and commentary are just that.She distinctly remembers Jo hanging a wind chime and repairing a shutter, but there is no evidence of that now.

Parts of it were filmed in Louisiana and the opening scene with Katie on the Coach America bus is on the Linn Cove Viaduct along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Grandfather Mountain in Linville, North Carolina. I slept only for only 3 hours that night as I got caught up with the mystery behind Katie (who turns out to be Erin) and how is her life being a battered wife.Sparks the bad relationship catches up to the good one-- this one ending with a massive firestorm and a unrealistic twist that doesn't quite make the heart strings pull. That he would love her no matter what she told him, and that he was the kind of man who loved her already and would love her forever.
