Great shoes, just bought second pair as the first pair have no grip left after three years of daily use. If you have a bit of time and want to find out more about Berghaus Men’s Expanse Mid GORE-TEX® Walking Boots after reading the reviews then YouTube is your next stop. They fit nicely out of the box, but with daily use on gentle terrain (but wet grass), my feet started to get wet within about 10 weeks. Lightweight and breathable, the Berghaus Multisport GORE-TEX® Shoe is the perfect walking partner to explore variable terrain. Super cushioned OrthoLite® Multisport footbeds keep feet comfortable all day long, while robust uppers are brilliantly flexible yet offer well targeted support.

Fully waterproof with their GORE-TEX Extended Comfort footwear membrane and your feet are kept feeling fresh all day thanks to breathable, cushioned and anti-microbial ORTHOLITE footbeds. The DuoPoint sole will grip to most mixed terrains in wet or dry conditions, and the inner features a seam sealed Isotex membrane - which will keep your feet dry and also allow your feet to breathe.

After six months of daily 6K use they have split at the front sides (near the bottom of the laces) letting water and dirt in. Lightweight and breathable the Berghaus Expanse GORE-TEX® Shoe is the perfect walking partners to explore variable terrain. Only gripe is that even in early December my feet are feeling much colder than with any comparable boots I've owned over the last few uears.

There will be some products that are amazing quality and packed full of additional features or specifications, but do take the time to really get an idea if you need that level of quality or if your budget and needs mean you should get something else. Plus, further protection and durability comes from the rubber printed rand around the toe, heel and sides of the shoe. I had a similar pair before this that lasted 6 years so i don't know what's happened with the build quality. Built with the same features from their standard Explorer ranger, these Expanse are a trainer style of boot - or shoe really, so they are designed for standard walking, fell-running and normal everyday use.Purchased October 4, 2020, having to replace after 19 months light use, soles worn down to minimum at the front, holes appearing in side fabric. These fit my size 8 feet perfectly out of the box are exceedingly comfy and didn’t need to be broken in at all.
