The 12 ingredients used are Japanese Sencha Tea, Chinese green tea and then Seville orange peel, grapefruit peel, lemon peel, juniper, coriander seed, liquorice, angelica root, almond and orris root.

The General Wine Company sources wines from all over the world, but with a particular focus on small, independent producers.I do not like the new bottle nearly as much as I did the previous iteration (shown below with the cocktail). The bold new blood orange flavoured gin with fresh citrus flavours of blood orange tuning perfectly with classic notes of juniper. The light taste of heather is apparent, and deep in the bottom of the gin is a certain mustiness which seems to vanish as soon as I notice it.

A neutral grain alcohol is the base in which twelve different botanicals are left to macerate, for a period of 24 hours; the herbs and spices used are: juniper, japanese sencha green tea, chinese green tea, grapefruit, lemon, almonds, bitter orange, coriander, iris root, licorice, angelica root and seeds.I know that you have to satisfy the new generation of drinkers and also try to gain shelf space, but please do not mess with the original. The resulting gin and tea combination was remarkable and inspired Desmond to spend the next 18 months trialing and experimenting with different teas and botanical blends.
