About this deal

A company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (03139939) and a charity registered in England and Wales (1051681) and Scotland (SC039534). Each pair of slippers is made in a factory in Spain that is committed to reducing the environmental impact of shoe production and use traditional techniques.

Not only are these Mercredy Ladies Slippers great to look at and really comfortable to wear, they are also fantastic for the environment. From the very beginning, it was important that all work be conducted under fair working conditions and that workers would be paid a decent wage for their work, and in 2009 Egos were certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation. They do this through transforming plastic found in oceans into a heavy duty felt (it's very clever). Its recycled PET felt upper features a navy hue with small dark brown details and an adjustable metal side buckle. Driven by our passion for protecting the ocean and its sea life, as well as supporting innovative sustainable production, we couldn't resist these Mecredy slippers. The heavy duty felt used for the upper and lining for the slippers is certified 100% recycled by the Global Recycling Standard, and each slipper is made from at least 2 recycled bottles. They are made of a comfortable and light fabric, with a breathable textile fiber insole, as well as a non-slip rubber sole. Take a look at our extensive collection of accessories - from patterned Unmade Copenhagen socks to scarves and mittens handmade in the Swedish forests.

Through various processes, plastic bottles are turned into fabric - each shoe contains at least two recycled bottles. This material is 100% recycled and certified by the Global Recycling Standard - Each shoe is made from at least 2 recovered bottles. Sustainable and comfortable, these light eco-friendly slippers in grey and blue have been expertly handcrafted using recycled plastic bottles. The Mule doesn't feature a thermal lining so although it gives some insulating benefits it will be one of the cooler slippers available. As one of the poorest countries in the world, the need for development in Nepal is huge and Egos Copenhagen believe that the best way to contribute to this is to provide good and lasting jobs to the people of Nepal.Just a shame they don't cater for large shoe sizes, hopefully they will soon so the whole family can wear them! We recommend you ask for proof of postage as we cannot take responsibility for any products until they are received back to our dispatch facility. Its recycled PET felt upper features a navy hue with small dark brown details and an adjustable metal side buckle. By purchasing a pair of Egos felted wool slippers you're helping this amazing company provide financial support to a Nepalese artisan and his or her family. The Mercredy slipper can be washed on a cool delicate cycle, however, we would recommend removing the insole prior to this.

The vegan felt upper is made from recovered plastic bottles collected from the sea which are then ground down and turned into woven fabric. Mercredy use plastic bottles collected from the ocean to create the fabrics for the slippers, along with natural rubber for the sole. The new Slipper collection by Mercredy, recycled materials are used to create a super comy shoe perfect for the van or home. Felted Wool slippers are not only super comfortable but the lanolin in the wool makes the slippers resistant to dirt, moisture and odours, meaning that you very rarely need to clean them.

Keep Cosy embraces the importance of finding balance and enjoying the simple things, slowing down and feeling content.
