The beauty of the book is the well written and considered text that accompanies the excellent collection of photographs from English Heritage's archives.

We published the formal reports on nationally funded excavations and headline-making building-related stories. It's a good size for anyone thinking the panoramas version might be too big and heavy - though this book is still quite big and heavy.
