The composition, announced as more ethereal and dreamy than the original, is created by perfumer Mathieu Nardin as a floral - citrus – woody scent. It opens with notes of frosted lemon, tangerine and pomelo, leading to the subtle floral heart of freesia, orange blossom, orchid and bamboo. Creamy sandalwood, amber and delicate musk form the base of the perfume. On my skin the musk and sandalwood are timid at first, not really drawing attention to themselves almost like they don’t want to interfere with what’s going on up top where the real character of the scent plays out. They’re just there to provide a foundation for the first two acts and then a soft landing as the scent closes.

The bottle of the original form is colored in soft lavender and decorated with prints of tiny golden birds. The fragrance is available as a 30 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette. I think for people expecting a very feminine, girly sweet fragrance, yes you will be disappointed but trust me this scent is so brilliantly made. From paper it looks as those it has no aquatic qualities at all but upon smelling it my god again its a truly accurate ocean smell. I don't know how they did it. Its wonderful. Also a great scent for a pisces in your life! Fantasia Mermaid opens with the fresh iridescent sparkle of juicy blood oranges and sweet mandarins that are deepened by spicy cardamom and pepper notes. At the heart, romantic Peony and bright florals create flirtatious intrigue. Watery Lychee brings a unique, aquatic fruitiness that fuses perfectly with a musky base of vanilla, honey, tonka bean and blond woods. After a while, pink pepper jump out to say hello, but are overpowered by cypress and raspberries and cedar.I was smelling a couple of Anna Sui perfume in the store and this is the only one I liked. And of course, one of the primary reason of buying it is the very dreamy bottle. Like others, I bought this at tj maxx mainly for the bottle. It was worth the price just to have on my vanity. I hear the call of this siren: sweet voice of honey but shrill of cardamom, envelops me in the sanguine citrus fruit. I won't shout at the masterpiece but give it a chance because it will surprise you.

As a lover of mermaids, I’ve been trying to find the perfect “mermaid” perfume for a while now. Needless to say I had to try this! To me this is a woman's perfume, but because of the citrus woodsy notes it's not too sugary. I don't think it's masculine, although I wouldn't mind smelling this on a guy, I imagine it would work well for some men. the photography may be of a different size of the same product. I had been dying to try this fragrance, and when I finally got my hands on a sample, it did not disappoint. I usually dislike sweet scents, but this one is a pastel pink and sweet scent. It took me to test it several times in the store before deciding whether to buy it or not and I decided to take the plunge when there was a RM60 discount for the 50ml bottle with an extra 15ml decant. That being said, the longevity and sillage is very poor. I sprayed this on my wrist less than an hour ago and now I can only smell it if I practically press my nose against my skin and sniff aggressively like a detection dog at an airport. I may try this on moisturised skin to see if the longevity improves.
