The North American market is often a little advanced compared to the UK for home entertainment, but it will probably be a similar picture for the early access release date. The DVD and Blu-ray should be a little earlier though, so you might get this in the US towards the end of February or early March 2023. a name for itself. Santa, here, largely fights the criminal element with a sledgehammer and turns into a Christmas version of Thor, but with more blood. The film is violent but not grimly so, If that isn’t enough, you’ll then have to wait for the Easter Bunny for the UK DVD and Blu-ray release date. This should be around late March 2023, which will precede Easter Sunday by a couple weeks (9th April 2023). individual dressed like Santa, as a murdering maniac. Here, maybe the difference is that this is the real Santa who doesn't just distribute Do you love Christmas? I mean, do you look forward to it each and every year? Oops. Can we actually call it Christmas anymore or do we have to use the more politically-correct “Holiday Season?” Whatever your thoughts, it can’t be denied that the special time between mid-November and the end of the year is, to many, the most wonderful time of the year. But for every Hallmark movie that reunites a young professional with his or her (OK…her) long lost love at home, we’ve got movies like Die Hard and Krampus. You know – alternative Christmas films. Violent Night is in the same vein as the two aforementioned films. Have we been good or bad this year?

brutal but not exceedingly gory, teetering on over the top considering the merging of various bloody images and humorous undercurrents. whatever it can muster within its Santa suit because the plot is otherwise entirely tiresome and derivative. This is certainly a movie made entirely the film, it rarely reaches beyond the point of troublesome annoyance. The image is free of any other serious source or encode issues. It also looks briefly at the vision for the character he portrays and the physical characteristics he brought to the film.the first is the high concept genre mash up Christmas film – the HORROR Christmas film ( Krampus, Rare Exports, et al), the GROSS OUT Christmas film ( Bad Santa and, er, Bad Santa 2 et al), the ZOMBIE MUSICAL Christmas film (pretty much just Anna and the Apocalypse)…and these work because the genre sensibilities come first, the Christmas setting/vibe bolted on afterwards… Quarrelin’ Kringle – Cast and crew relay why David Harbour is the perfect brawler for this combative rendition of Santa. And despite a grim and too on the nose opening (that somehow sees Bristol have a skyline of a modern day American urban metropolis), Wirkola, together with Pat Casey and Josh Miller on script duties, conjured up a wonderfully fun, sweary and bloody little gem. The violence is incredibly graphic but always shot through with a twisted sense of humour, every bloody denouement somehow eliciting a little squeal of naughty delight as all manner of bodily carnage is brought beautifully to life. Its also very funny, drawing on a wealth of knowing influences, including other beloved Christmas films (the Home Alone sequence is genuinely guffaw inducing, while even repeating one of the all-time classic twist reveals of a well known Bruce Willis Christmas banger still manages to surprise), while not afraid to satirise so much of the modern world and its increasing distance from the spirit of Christmas (Beverly D’Angelo as the matriarch of the family could give Brian Cox and his own dysfunctional unit a run for their money). Does the film suffer for that? In a way, yes.
