About this deal

For a big and rather bulky upright (weighing in at just under 7kg), the Shark gets really close to edges and performs exceptionally well on carpets. This meant that Alison needed to empty the vacuum after three rounds, on average, of vacuuming the entire house. Vacuums that do not have this system(and there are plenty of them) end up with air being pushed out of multiple small gaps. Our Filtration Test Results The dust capacity is quite small at 0.84L, but this is a little larger than the NZ801UKT which is a relief, but almost half size of its bigger brother AZ950UKT. The Shark AZ910UKT is a powerful and versatile cleaner. The combination of strong suction and a clever floorhead make for an effective vacuum on nearly all surfaces.

The AZ910UKT is also slightly wider and 0.27kg heavier. You’ll pay about the same for both models. Shark AZ950UKT vs AZ910UKT Secondly, you will find that the colour varies slightly. The UK is a classic purple and silver, while the UKT sports a luxurious rose gold and grey. Not a big deal really, unless you have an allergy to purple 🙂 Features and Benefits Cord and Hose LengthAlong with the pet tool, the AZ910UKT also comes with an upholstery tool and a 2-in-1 duster crevice tool. The bristles on this tool aren’t too stiff, so it’s more useful for dusting than removing muddy paw prints or stubborn dirt. I have a Shark Wandvac which I love and use every day, sometimes two or three times a day as it is so convenient and light (we have 2 DC and 2 Ddogs so it gets messy)" - LadyCleathStuart Our verdict If you suffer from allergies, not only is the mess-free emptying a bonus, but Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal apparently captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens. What’s the difference between the AZ910UK and AZ910UKT? Something that is always consistent throughout Shark is the fact that there are no core differences between two models – just minor ones. Yes, the bin capacity is on the small side (0.13 litres) and the full run time is around half an hour, but it functions as both a traditional cordless vacuum cleaner and a handheld device too. It's incredibly nifty and can be nipped out to deal with under-the-sofa debris and clumps of pet hair in an instant. And its slim design means it's very easy to store.

The 2-in-1 Crevice and Dusting Tool. This is the perfect tool for reaching tight corners and gaps as well as for delicate surfaces (the dusting brush). I actually quite like using the dusting brush on my kitchen floor – it works wonders. With all these things considered, it’s a great vacuum cleaner that offers value for money. Especially if you can find it on offer somewhere. Comparison With Other Vacuums What’s the Difference Between the Shark AZ910UKT and NZ801UKT? Unfortunately, the cleaning radius is limited by the 8 metre power cord. It’s not the shortest we’ve seen, but it does require a fair amount of plug swapping when cleaning a large home. If you need to swap the main head for one of the tools, they can be attached and removed with ease. Just pull them on and off as required. What the AZ910UKT also features is the fully sealed filtration system that Shark is renowned for. What this means is that dust and allergens are pushed through the filter, and all the air that comes out of the machine has been forced through it and the exhaust only – leading to clean air.Shark’s previous Duo-Clean Lift-Away cordless, the AX950UKT, was a star performer. The new AZ910UKT promises to build on that reputation with improved performance and its Anti Hair Wrap technology, which features a mix of blades and bristles on the brush bar that are designed to to stop hairs, of the pet or human variety, becoming wrapped around the brush. Finally, a note about hair tangles. Even after cleaning the trouble areas (in front of the hallway mirror and in the bedroom), the DuoClean head remained tangle-free. Moreover, the easy-to-empty collection bin was full of hair that would have otherwise been left for me to untangle and cut away from the brush head of a regular vacuum cleaner. Shark AZ910UK review conclusion Mumsnetters love Shark for the brand’s innovative technologies. The Anti-Hair Wrap feature ensures that hair doesn’t get tangled around the roller, while Flexology helps you to vacuum the parts that even the best robot vacuums can’t reach (you'll find our full low-down on Shark terminology in the buyer's guide below). With its grey and rose gold colour scheme, the AZ910UKT is an attractive vacuum with a sturdy construction. It’s also streamlined for an upright model, with the hose, power cord, and tools neatly stored. We’ll talk more about the DuoClean floorhead and TruePet tool in a later section. Manoeuvrability and Ease of Use

The cord also needs to be wound manually when you’ve finished vacuuming (we would have preferred an automatic cord), but this was the case with all the upright vacuums we tested. The Shark AZ910UKT is a flexible vacuum cleaner Shark AZ910UKT Design – Works hard to remove hair with its new and glitzy Anti Hair Wrap brushThere are clear instructions on how to do this, which meant that our tester, Alison, had the vacuum set up and ready to go within two minutes. The other issue you might find with this vacuum cleaner is that the power button is on the Lift-Away, which sits just above the main floor head when attached to the wand – logical and necessary, mind you, but this will mean having to bend down to switch the machine on. The Lift-Away mode is ideal for stair cleaning, as it makes the vacuum much smaller and lighter. The canister fits on a step and the 8 metre power cord is long enough to do a whole flight in one go. I've got the cordless anti-wrap as I have long hair and thought this would be the answer - I love it.” Rated by Mumsnetter mommybear1 Our verdict

The weight reflects this solid construction, though, as it’s on the heavy side at 6.77kg. This isn’t much more than the 6.5kg of the Shark NZ801UKT, but it’s worth taking into consideration, particularly for elderly people or anyone looking for a lightweight vacuum. All the tools attach onto the wand or directly onto the handle, making them ideal for a range of cleaning tasks around the home. There’s also onboard storage, so they are always close to hand. Shark AZ910UKT Suction Power and Cleaning Performance Before you begin, you’ll need to slide the button on the handle to adjust the DuoClean floor head to suit the specific floor type you’re vacuuming. A brush-roll indicator on the left side of the DuoClean floor head will tell you if the brush-rolls are spinning as they should. Green is good while red indicates a jam.
