Ahh, The Stiff Dylans. The fictional band were pieced together from musicians by Gurinder, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the lead. The song ‘Ultraviolet’ was created for the film by the production house. Gurinder:"When Georgia Groome came in, I thought she was just so good because she looked like the girl next door. She was a typical 14-year-old who also had comedy chops."Georgia G:"I've known Manjeeven [Grewal] even since we were about seven, my mum taught her drama. We got the train to London together." Georgia Henshaw (actor, Rosie):"I met Eleanor [Tomlinson] in the audition room and sat next to her during the final round. We were chatting, and the description of Jas [in the books] is that she has eyelashes like a cow. I was like, ‘Omg you are totally Jas’."

When it came to The Ace Gang, Georgia’s three best mates, Jas (Eleanor Tomlinson), Rosie (Georgia Henshaw) and Ellen (Manjeevan Grewal) were soon cast, and the four instantly bonded, on and off-screen. They cherished their on-set crushes, and spent time learning the dance routine to Big Fish, Little Fish, Cardboard Box while filming at Ealing Studios. Plans for an album fell through and the band has been inactive ever since. Lead singer James Flannigan has gone to become a songwriter for several artists. Much of the charm of Angus, Thongs and Perfect snogging is the relatable (and hilarious) mishaps the characters go through, including one scene that sees Georgia’s legs turn bright orange after a fake tanning faux pas. In another, she accidentally shaves her eyebrow off. Aaron Johnson as Robbie Jennings, Georgia's love interest. He is in a band called the Stiff Dylans, and is initially Lindsay's boyfriend. Fourteen-year-old Georgia Nicolson lives in Eastbourne with her parents Connie and Bob and younger sister Libby. She is insecure about her appearance and fears she will never have a boyfriend. On the first day of the new school term, Georgia and her friends Jas, Ellen and Rosie spot fraternal twin brothers Robbie and Tom Jennings, who have recently moved to Eastbourne from London.
