About this deal

Ahhh I'm so nervous about this book because whenever I read one of Ms.Cherry's book, I always end up crying like a baby... :'( Someday, somewhere—anywhere, unfailingly, you’ll find yourself, and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life.”

Overall, it is a good book but it definitely could have been better. The fi With just reading the prologue I knew that I would be taken on an emotional rollercoaster. It was everything I was hoping for and more. This book is not JUST a story, its a pious sermon, reminding us to open our hearts always. Let the fresh air of acceptance and love come in, swirl around, drive away demons of prejudices, stink of bias and mould of judgements out of our hearts.

Heat level: Okay. They have some okay tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not very many scenes and not all that descriptive. I personally would've liked more chemistry sexually here. I get that it was more about the escape that sex brought them, but I think showing more of a connection through their intimate times would've been nice too. The towns bad boy and the towns Princess was just the perfect way to spend a winters night. There were so many life lessons one could take away from this, in my eyes this could quite possibly be the most memorable, captivating, and thought provoking romance novel Brittainy has written to date. An emotional slow burn romance that I loved from start to finish. A lot of her books can be difficult to read because they are so heart breaking, I feel like this was more on the mellow side and although you're in for a rollercoaster of emotions - at the end of the day, this is a feel good story. Nevertheless, I didn't cry while reading this but that doesn't mean it wasn't upsetting. You feel what the characters feel through the writing and you long for them to find their happily ever after.

It was simple, the way we loved. We loved the scars of our past, and we loved the unknown of our future. We loved the mistakes. We loved the celebrations. We loved our darkness, and we loved the light."

It was simple, the way we loved. We loved the scars of our past, and we loved the unknown of our future. We loved the mistakes. We loved the celebrations. We loved our darkness, and we loved the light. Those times you feel lost and afraid and weak- those are your moments for a breakthrough. Hidden beneath those dark moments is your power. Take those weak moments and make them powerful.” I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where I got this raging mad on behalf of the characters as I did with this story. I was so mad that tears welled up in my eyes. Oh my, totally not the emotions I expected but I’m sure everyone who reads the book will understand exactly what I’m talking about. Behind the Bars” is the first novel in the “Music Street” series and was released in the year 2017. When Elliot first met Jasmine Greene, she came in like raindrops. He was just the awkward musician, and she the high school queen. The only things that they had with each other was their loneliness and their music. There was something in her eyes that told him her smile was not always true. Something in her voice gave him a hope that he always wishing he could find. And in just a flash, she was gone.
