About this deal

There will be juicy reveals for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Necromunda, and Warhammer Underworlds. You can catch all the details on Saturday. Fair warning to our fans in the UK and Europe – you’re going to have to get up pretty early for this one… Tune in at 4am GMT on the 19th of November.

Wade and Smash: allows a Dankhold Troggboss engaged to an enemy unit to move 6″ towards any other enemy unit and do impact damage (D3 mortal wounds on a 2+). The Bad Moon moves in one direction unless it is manipulated. Skragrott can manipulate the path of the Bad Moon – move it or hold it place. The Moonclan Stabbas also get a new ability, "Anarchic Hordes," which allows them to contest objectives when there are 20 or more models in a unit if they're within 9" of the objective, not the usual 6". Gloomspite Gitz wizards have access to two different spell lore depending if they are Moonclan or Spiderfang. There are also many lively little fragments and drop-ins of art and text which work well, more on those below.Aside from the different Grot clans, a Gloomspite Gitz horde can also include Troggoths, extremely strong but also dumb creatures that follow the Grots knowing that would lead them to abundance of food. The most infamous of their leaders is Glogg, that led the strongest Troggherd to trump the realms. He was last seen dismembered during the siege of Excelsis, a fact that may not have stopped him considering Troggoth’s incredible regeneration.

It's not really quite that bad. Most of the models do end up with some kind of aesthetic and perceptual unity but the Spiderfang Grots are a little bit of a red-headed stepchild in this book. They tend to creep in at the end when everything else has been considered. There is a kind of war of silence or hunger for stillness between millennial models and gen x models. When you see them together, they are living in very-slightly different aesthetics of time and sensation.Another major change comes to the Squigs! Traditionally, a Squig has a move characteristic that's completely reliant on dice rolls, but now those movement values have a set number in addition to a dice roll. So it's still random, but instead of a move of 3D6 (where you could pitifully roll a total move of 3) a unit will have a move value like D6+10. This update makes the Squigs much more reliable, while still harness their chaotic nature. Grots of the Mortal Realms, rise up! It is time to overthrow all dem gitz wot live on da surface, in a frenzy of mushroom-fuelled action.* The Gloomspite Gitz are known for their erratic nature, but with Ghur in ascendancy these diminutive greenskins have got their act together in the worst possible way.

Diorama photography is the primary artistic vector of the book and communication of the model as action portrait is the main way they are perceived. The Beasts of Chaos are anarchy incarnate, mustering massive brayherds to assault civilisation itself. Their new battletome sees them charge headfirst into the latest edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, with updated warscrolls, pitched battle profiles, and new Path to Glory rules – truly a bounty worthy of the Dark Gods. The Loonking wants to cover all the Mortal Realms in the Clammy-Dank and he has already achieved this in one part of ChamonDo you like the new Beasts of Chaos and Gloomspite Gitz Battletome books, and Snarlfang Riders, that were revealed at the Grand Narrative Finale preview? Speaking of Goatmen, this is just that! A brand new HQ model to pair off with all those new rules! Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz Not to be outdone, the diminutive loons of the Gloomspite Gitz are also dragging an updated battletome into the light of day, full of detailed histories of their tribes and their strange origins, plus their surge in power through the Era of the Beast. It has the usual set of rules for subfactions, relics, and magic, as well as warscrolls, battleplans, and all the other good stuff. warscrolls and pitched battle profiles for your grots, from swift Snarlfang Riders to massive Dankhold Troggoths and the cunning Squigboss

Note that the addition of Gloomspite Gitz in some rules is to avoid allies from benefitting from it. As with previous battletomes, Gloomspite Gitz has been released alongside a set of warscroll cards. the Spiderfang grots believe in the spider god that is a giant arachnid demi-god that bit GorkaMorka on the foot and got infused with the god’s power. The Spiderfang believe that the Bad Moon is the giant egg-sac of the spidergod. If they impress it enough, they believe the moon will hatch and rain spiders down on the Mortal Realms The Beasts of Chaos are twisted amalgamations of man and beast, filled with a burning desire to see the edifices of civilisation torn down and despoiled. Born from the primordial power of Chaos itself, these creatures gather in immense herds, stirring themselves to a frothing rage beneath looming, rune-scarred totems before loping forth in search of prey. There are a mountain of warscrolls here, so this isn’t an exhaustive list of everything in the book and everything that’s changed. Heroes

Skragrott the Loonking

Not every noble is meant for the burden of command. Others are destined for a purer purpose, and find themselves blessed with preternatural fervour and strength. These souls become hallowed templars, wandering champions who eschew the court to battle evil wherever they find it. The Gloomspite Gitz build effigies to the Bad Moon wherever they make war, and you can represent this on the battlefield using the Bad Moon Loonshrine faction terrain piece. The latest reveals from the Grand Narrative Finale preview are here, featuring not only the Age of Sigmar Beasts of Chaos and Gloomspite Gitz Battletome books but also new minis, including the reimagining of Wolf Riders, now called Snarlfang Riders! Finally there’s Chasing the Moon which requires your general to survive the battle, potentially much easier than it used to be if they’re a Galetian Champion, and to have been affected by the Light of the Bad Moon in 3 battle rounds. Battle Tactics Digital cruft - this is kept under control, and, as with the fungal drop-ins, appropriate to the context of the piece. It's meant to feel a little dirty.
