The motif designs are inspired by the colours and shapes found in nature and, while some are recognisable as specific plant species, they are not intended to be botanically accurate representations of particular plants. This collage of flowers, foliage and trailing plants is displayed in a arrangement that you can use mixed media to create. The bright, bold and happy colors of marigolds and geraniums are offset with cool blues and silvery blues in imaginative leafy stems. Shy little violets peep out from underneath piles of logs, and clumps of tiny pale toadstools pop up here and there. Pretty pale green and dusky pink hellebores also make a welcome appearance. Twisting stems of ivy wind their way up the tree trunks and patches of mottled green lichen grow slowly amongst mossy tree roots. Today I would like to share my thoughts and impressions on a beautiful new book by Chris Norrington called, “ Crochet Collage Garden.” I was so happy to have found it in the craft section of my local bookstore! I often sit and look through crochet books and magazines and work on a variety of crochet projects while I spend time amongst the books. The atmosphere of a bookstore is relaxing and peaceful. And, of course, I have fun perusing the crochet section!
