About this deal

This made a great juxtaposition with Ollie and his fiancée, Elise, who I had great pleasure in disliking! Although there were a number of twists and a multitude of suspects, I had guessed the perpetrator early on.

The Summer Book is as ‘A masterpiece’: why Tove Jansson’s The Summer Book is as

The thing is, Flossy has ulterior motives for asking her children to put their lives on hold and come spend a week together once again. The Summer House was originally conceived, constructed and utilized as a seasonal retreat in rural Georgia for a wealthy family.A team of Army investigators, led by Jeremiah Cook are sent in to make sure all proceedings are being handled in a just and fair manor. When Cook and his team arrive, they receive cold shoulders from the local sheriff and police force, as well as the local military personnel. Every piece of evidence points to that, but when Major Cook investigates, he finds clues that suggest that all may not be as they seem.

I didn’t like the story or the portrayal of women and how they were talked about by male characters - it left me cold and unsatisfied, like an Edmonton winter. In the end, the real mystery for me is how James Patterson has managed to produce books like this and somehow become the world’s best-selling and wealthiest author. Seriously, where does Patterson live or where in America has he ever gone that would make him think that this antiquated degree of racism would add any realistic flavor to a contemporary novel? They all have secrets but those won't last long after their time together when their sibling rivalry, jealousy, and heartache make their presence known. I feel like the ending of this left me with many unanswered questions and felt like it could have been shorted down a lot more than it had been. Dramatic moments and life challenges are mixed with introducing the next generation to the kinds of traditions memories are made of.

Renewing their collaborative efforts, James Patterson and Brendan DuBois present readers with an intense and thrilling read in this new standalone novel. Lana has taken six-weeks off from her job as a graphic designer at a magazine, and she's going to use the time to get the house ready for sale. The Summer House was a heartfelt, lovely read about a family I think most readers could identify with. Holt Norfolk, and Lana Hamilton goes back, her Aunt Kitty now passed away this was her home and Lana and her siblings all spent long school holidays here, her sister Camille's murder in the summer house will never be forgotten, and Lana helped put Sebastian Landry the killer away for what he did, his brother Xavier she lost touch with afterward. Despite their efforts, the Rangers remain tight-lipped during interviews with the Army psychiatrist, making it challenging to uncover what truly happened.

The Summer House: A highly addictive psychological thriller

Then there's Samuel and his partner who are in the process of adopting, but learning that some things don't always work out easily. As Cook and his squad struggle to uncover the truth behind the condemning evidence, the pieces just won’t fit — and forces are rallying to make certain damning secrets die alongside the victims in the murder house. Memories are made year after year when families comes together to unplug from urban life and spend some quality time together. Recommended: The Summer House is recommended for Denton fans, for readers who appreciate uplifting and heartfelt stories, for those looking for lighter women’s fiction, and for book clubs looking for a gentle and heartwarming read. The Summer house should definitely be on your summer reading list this year--it is a delightful read! Their professional and personal struggles blended in well with Cook’s own war demons, and their mission to seek justice. The plot, with its myriad of twists, kept me interested until the final 10% of the book when the author seemed to be in a hurry to finish and, all of a sudden, we're being told the story rather than experiencing it as we had earlier.
